[bowler hat gargoyle]

The character you drew is a pretty solid archetype. Though his arms are very stiff for a walk cycle, and he should move up and down. Walk cycles don't look like that, also, I would suggest looking at a flash submission here called "Walking the Walk."

Then again, this is pixel art so I'm not sure how hard it would be to pull something like that off, but this could definitely use some improvement.

Beautiful for what it is.

The chalk brushes used to make this is great for stuff like this, so a nice choice and a great submission that's going in my favorites.

The whole thing gives out an eerie vibe, very detailed and well-drawn.

The only thing I can think of is how it's unfinished, but since you elaborate that in the description, disregard that. It'd still be nice if something like this was finished.

[Evil Stare]

Very well-designed dragon. It's pretty good considering it started out as testing some effects in Photoshop. The colors found in this piece are part of what makes this look so good.

Overall, a good job.

[Cat and the fiddle]

This one's going in my favorites. The contrast in the colors creates a perfect effect and the cat was well drawn.

This had a dark vibe to it and I enjoyed this. Though to be honest, this doesn't seem like the kind of a picture you'd find in a book for little kids, given the overall dark vibe of this piece.

Great job.

[The Tree]

The colors make this. It gives off a bright, vivid vibe, so in that aspect, you succeeded. The detail is definitely there, though some of the leaves on the tree look a bit awkward.

It was drawn pretty well, so I don't have any other complaints.

The black-and-white color scheme you chose for this added to my overall outlook of this submission, as it suggests an elegant/sorrow nature. Lots of detail present in this particular drawing of a rose.

I must say, this won't have the same aesthetic effect it was colored and had a background - the focus is on the rose.

A nice art style you have there, would definitely make a great mural. A great concept.

Also, I'm sure you get this a lot but it looks a lot like Adventure Time.
